Abstract
•We report the first round of a PCa screening study among male BRCA carriers.•We used two novel screening strategies: age-stratified PSA and MRI.•We found a high rate of PCa among BRCA carriers (8.5%). Similar risk of PCa for BRCA1 (8.3%) and BRCA2 (8.7%).•mpMRI based screening missed 1 of the 16 diagnosed cancers (6%), while age-stratified PSA would have missed 5 (31%).•The highest net benefit for screening in young carriers (aged 40–55 years)...
