A new subtribe (Arachnoscelidina subtrib. nov.) and two new subgenera of the genus Arachnoscelis Karny (Centrophisis subgen. nov. and Peruphisis subgen. nov.) are described. All these taxa are distributed in America and probably belong to the tribe Phisidini of the katydid subfamily Meconematinae.
