Abstract
In this paper, an electrically active, ultra-thin, easy-to-implement, and tunable phononic crystal (PC)-based device is proposed to suppress excessive vibration in pipes conveying fluids. We demonstrate that this device can be realized by periodic implementation of piezoelectric patches with shunt circuits on the pipe acting as PCs for vibration suppression.
