Abstract
Primary or metastatic liver tumors might involve the hepatic veins. Hepatic vein occlusion is generally caused by direct tumoral invasion and/or tumoral thrombosis. The progressive instauration of venous occlusion enhances the development of an intraparenchymal collateral circulation between the hepatic veins.
