Abstract The interaction of EG, DEG and TEG with biologically active D-Panthenol, as the function of temperature has been investigated by the combination of acoustic and volumetric methods. Speeds of sound and densities of EG, DEG and TEG in (0.05, 0.10 and 0.15) mol·kg−1 in aqueous solutions of D-Panthenol have been measured at T = (293.15, 298.15, 303.15 and 308.15) K. From the density data, the apparent molar volume ( V ϕ 0 ) and standard partial molar volume of transfer Δ V ϕ 0 for EG, DEG a...

Ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity of binary liquid mixtures of chloroform and methanol has been measured using ultrasonic interferometer, 30 ml gravity bottle and Oswald’s viscometer respectively at frequency 2MHz and constant temperature of 295K. Experimental values then obtained are used for determining various thermo acoustical parameters like adiabatic compressibility, acoustic impedance, intermolecular free length, relaxation time, ultrasonic attenuation, effective molar weight, fr...

Abstract Densities (ρ) and speeds of sound (u) for the binary mixtures of 1-hexanol with n-hexane, n-octane and n-decane have been measured over the entire composition range at 298.15, 303.15 and 308.15 K. The dynamic viscosities (η) for these systems have been measured at 298.15 K. From experimental data, excess molar volumes (VmE), molar isentropic compressibility (Ks,m), excess molar isentropic compressibility (Ks,mE), deviation in speed of sound (uD) from their ideal values (uid) in an ideal...

Abstract Densities, speeds of sound and refractive indices of the binary mixtures of tetrahydrofuran or tetrahydropyran with 1-chlorohexane have been measured at atmospheric pressure at the temperatures of 283.15, 298.15 and 313.15 K. Excess molar volumes, isentropic compressibilities and deviations in isentropic compressibility and refractive index have been obtained from experimental data and fitted by the Redlich–Kister equation. Excess molar volumes and deviations in isentropic compressibili...

Abstract Excess molar volumes ( V E ) and ultrasonic sound velocities at T = 303.15 K and ambient pressure have been measured as a function of composition for the binary liquid mixtures of dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) with ketones. The ketones studied in the present investigation include ethyl methyl ketone (EMK), diethylketone (DEK), methyl propyl ketone (MPK), methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), and cyclohexanone (CH). The V E values were measured using a dilatometer and were positive over the entire ...

Excess parameters like excess acoustic impedance (ZE), excess internal pressure (πiE) and excess enthalpy (HE) have been calculated from measured densities (ρ), sound speed (u), and viscosities (η) of a binary mixture of diethylamine and 1-decanol at (293, 303, and 313) K over the entire range of compositions. Further, these excess parameters are fitted into the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation to find smoothing coefficients and standard error. Different theoretical models of sound speed are a...

The viscosities, densities, and speeds of sound of binary mixtures of anisole with benzene, toluene, o-xylene, m-xylene, p-xylene, and mesitylene over the entire range of mole fraction at temperatures (288.15, 293.15, 298.15, and 303.15) K and atmospheric pressure have been measured. Excess compressibility and deviations in viscosity have been calculated and fitted to the Redlich−Kister polynomial relation to estimate the binary coefficients and standard errors. The deviations in viscosities and...
