Abstract
The structure, the mechanical properties, and the impact toughness in the temperature range from +20 to –70°C of a new low-alloy wear-resistant ledeburitic 220Kh2FYu steel are studied. After proper heat treatment, the steel is shown to have the structure of a natural precipitation-hardened composite material and a high hardness (68–70 HRC).
