Abstract
An effective pH-responsive halloysite with β-cyclodextrin shell was demonstrated to control the release of the inhibitor trapped in the halloysite channel. The effect of solution pH variation on the release behavior of nanocapsules was taken into account. The trapping mechanism by the β-CD molecules was investigated by quantum chemistry calculations.
