Abstract This work presents an experimental study on the mechanical behaviour of thermoplastic polyarlyetherketone (PAEK) based composite laminates reinforced with woven carbon fibres, subjected to high strain rates under compression loading. The specimens were tested using a Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB).
