Abstract
A novel image indexing algorithm for Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) using Local Energy Oriented Patterns (LEOP) is proposed in this paper. LEOP encodes pixel level energy orientations to find minute spatial features of an image whereas existing methods use neighborhood relationship.
