Abstract
The presentation addresses the numerical modelling of the benchmark AMB2018-02 where we take upon the challenge of verifying the melt pool geometry (CHAL-AMB2018-02-MP) and the cooling rate (CHAL-AMB2018-02-CR). We employ a variant of the numerical model presented in [1] and extend it to hierarchical B-Splines [2].
