Abstract
Essential thrombocythemia (ET) is characterized by persistently elevated platelet counts and an increased risk of thromboembolic events. Dysregulated expression of small noncoding microRNAs (miRNAs) have been shown in ET and may influence platelet maturity and function in ET patients.
