New improved mesoporous nanocomposite CO2 adsorbents IMSiNTs-PEI (IMP) were synthesized by improved pretreatment of natural halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) and impregnation of improved mesoporous silica nanotubes (IMSiNTs) with polyethylenimine (PEI).
