Abstract
Introduction: Chromogranin A (CHGA) is released into circulation with catecholamine from secretory granules of chromaffin cells and post-ganglionic sympathetic neurons. Several CHGA gene polymorphisms contributing to traits of autonomic blood pressure control, hypertension and hypertensive nephropathy have been identified.
