Abstract
Small intestinal brush border membrane vesicles from pig were used to digest galactooligosaccharides from lactose (GOS) and from lactulose (OsLu). Dissimilar hydrolysis rates were detected after digestion. Predominant glycosidic linkages and monomeric composition affected the resistance to intestinal digestive enzymes.
