Synthesis, singlet oxygen generation and DNA photocleavage of β,β′-conjugated polycationic porphyrins

In this paper, three [Formula: see text],[Formula: see text]-conjugated cationic porphyrin compounds were designed and synthesized. The structure of the intermediates and desired porphyrins were confirmed by UV, IR, 1 H NMR, MS and elemental analysis.
