The naphthopyranones paepalantine and 5-methoxy-3,4-dehydroxanthomegnin isolated from Paepalanthus sp, showed in previous studies antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antitumour and antimicrobial potential, such as anti-Helicobacter pylori activity.
