Cardiac fibrosis is a pathological remodeling response to myocardial infarction (MI) and impairs cardiac contractility. Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) metastasis‐associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) is increased in patients with MI.
