Abstract
A novel synthetic protocol of ozonolytic cleavage of 18α-oleanane triterpenoid with the five-membered α,β-alkenenitrile moiety dissolved in dichloromethane to selectively synthesize a 1,3-secotriterpene derivative with 78% yield was developed.
