Abstract
To analyze the stress state of seed cotton in the process of cotton ginning and to improve the quality of lint, a new model for cotton, the laminated cotton model, is presented based on the idea of a composite laminate. The model assumes the cotton mass is made up of a certain number of cotton fibers, each of which has a different arrangement angle.
