Abstract
Seventy percent of breast cancers express estrogen (ER) and progesterone receptors (PR) and respond to antiestrogen therapies. Emerging evidence from experimental studies and human epidemiology, points to a relevant role for progestins in breast carcinogenesis and cancer growth.
