Abstract
After transarterial radioembolization procedures with yttrium-90 (90Y)–labeled microspheres, approximately 1%–3% of microspheres are expected to remain in the delivery system. After transarterial radioembolization with 1.2 GBq 90Y resin microspheres (SIR-Spheres; Sirtex Medical Ltd, North Sydney, Australia), the residual radioactivity was 12%, despite a correctly assembled system and flushing with glucose solution, including a final air push....
