Abstract
Mutations in the dysferlin gene cause limb-girdle muscular dystrophy 2B or Miyoshi distal myopathy with autosomal recessive inheritance pattern. A few mouse models harboring truncating mutations have been in use for the research of the dysferlinopathy.
