Abstract
The recent literature describing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in air, water, soil and sediment, waste sludge, biomonitoring, toxicity, are reviewed. Aspects of sampling, sample preparations such as extraction of PAHs are discussed and analytical methods used are also reviewed.
