While abutment, encasement or vessel occlusion are identified in most patients with a pancreatic tumor, tumor thrombosis is an uncommon finding. In particular, there are no description in the literature of tumor thrombosis associated with ductal adenocarcinoma, the most common pancreatic tumor.
