Cerebral Microbleeds as Predictors of Mortality

Background and Purpose— Cerebral microbleeds (CMB) represent a common magnetic resonance imaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease, increasingly recognized as a subclinical marker of stroke and dementia risk.
