Abstract
ObjectivesThe optimal antimicrobial treatment duration for patients with acute cholangitis with bacteremia remains unknown. The updated Tokyo Guidelines 2013 recommend a minimum duration of 2 weeks only when bacteremia with Gram-positive cocci is present.
