Hydrogen storage and hydrogen generation properties of CaMg2-based alloys
Abstract
The hydrogen storage and hydrogen generation of CaMg2 and CaMg1.9Ni0.1 alloys were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and pressure-composition-isotherm (PCI) measurements. The results confirmed that the CaMg2 alloy cannot absorb hydrogen at room temperature. While the addition of Ni to the CaMg2-based alloys resulted in room-temperature hydrogen absorption without an activation process, and a maximum hydrogen-absorption capacity of 5.65...
