Abstract
Until recently, the diagnosis of small bowel disease by the endoscopic procedure was difficult due to the organ characteristics. Video capsule endoscopy (VCE), which enables the whole small bowel observation safely and noninvasively, was introduced in 2000 and these problems are now being resolved.
