Abstract
We report a case of bacterial endocarditis in a heart transplant recipient that was diagnosed 6 weeks after operation when a transesophageal echocardiogram revealed vegetations on both sides of the atrial septum. The patient also had postoperative mediastinitis and pericarditis.
