Abstract
The effects of water-cement (w/c) ratio on area of plastic shrinkage cracking and rate of water evaporation of concrete were investigated. The experimental results indicate that the rate of water evaporation of concrete mixture increases as the water cement ratio increases in range of 0.35~0.65 with the total amount of cement and aggregate in concrete kept constant, the water cement ratio corresponding to the maximum area of plastic shrinkage...
