Abstract
To describe the microbiological profile and clinical outcome in the eyes with culture-proven exogenous endophthalmitis.A retrospective analysis of 495 eyes diagnosed as exogenous endophthalmitis was performed over a period of 10 years. In all, aseptically collected aqueous and vitreous aspirates were cultured for bacteria and fungus using standard microbiological techniques.
