Abstract
Periostracum Cicadae, the cast-off shell of the cicada Cryptotympana pustulata Fabricius, is used in traditional Chinese medicine for its diaphoretic, anticonvulsive, sedative, antipyretic, and antiallergic effects. Five new N-acetyldopamine dimers were isolated from Periostracum Cicadae, and their structures were elucidated as (2R,3S)-2-(3′,4′-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-acetylamino-7-(N-acetyl-2′′-aminoethyl)-1,4-benzodioxane 3′-O-β-d-glucopyranoside...
