Abstract
Vitamin A (VA) is stored mainly in lipid droplets in hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) of the liver. Apparently, when the level of serum VA drops below the basic-requirement level, lipid droplets in an HSC either decrease in number or disappear altogether.
