Abstract
A rapid and sensitive LC-MS/MS method with good accuracy and precision was developed and validated for the pharmacokinetic study of quercetin-3-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-7-O-β-d-gentiobioside (QGG) in Sprague-Dawley rats. Plasma samples were simply precipitated by methanol and then analyzed by LC-MS/MS. A Venusil® ASB C18 column (2.1 × 50 mm, i.d. 5 μm) was used for separation, with methanol-water (50:50, v/v) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 300 μL/min. The optimized mass transition ion-pairs (m/z) for quantitation were 787.3/301.3 for QGG, and 725.3/293.3 for internal standard. The linear range was 7.32-1830 ng/mL with an average correlation coefficient of 0.9992, and the limit of quantification was 7.32 ng/mL. The intra- and inter-day precision and accuracy were less than ±15%. At low, medium and high quality control concentrations, the recovery and matrix effect of the analyte and IS were in the range of 89.06-92.43 and 88.58-97.62%, respectively. The method was applied for the pharmacokinetic study of QGG in Sprague-Dawley rats. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Abstract The seeds of Descurainia sophia (L.) (short for DSS below), with a long history of medicinal utilization in China, have attracted the attention of many Chinese medicine practitioners for the potent efficacy. In the present study, the raw and processed DSS were differentiated by several chemometrics methods based on HPLC fingerprints. Moreover, peaks which were mainly responsible for the differentiation between raw and roasted DSS were found. Therefore, the method of the chromatographic ...

Abstract Ten flavonoid glycosides, apetalumosides A (1), B1–B7 (2–8), and C (9), quercetin 3-O-(2,6-di-O-β- d -glucopyranosyl)-β- d -glucopyranoside (10), were obtained from the seeds of Lepidium apetalum Willd. Their structures were elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods (UV, IR, NMR, and HRESI-TOF-MS). 1–9 were new isolates. The NMR data for 10 was reported here for the first time. On the other hand, activity screening results showed that 1–3 and 10 had triglyceride accumulation inhi...

Abstract Descurainia sophia (flixweed) is an annual weed widely distributed in cultivated crops, forage and rangelands throughout the world. This weed, in particular its seed, is used for food, medicinal and industrial purposes. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of irrigation management and different application rates of nitrogen on morphological traits and yield components of this weed as a means of enhancing production and economic returns. A two-year field experiment ...

Exhaustive hydro-distillation of Descurainia sophia (L.) Webb ex Prantl (flixweed) collected from two different locations (Cangzhou city-Sample 1 and Beijing city-Sample 2) gave in both cases yellowish colored oils in 0.31 and 0.26% yield, respectively. Detailed chemical composition of the essential oils was analyzed by GC and GC/MS, and forty and thirty-eight compounds were identified. The results indicated that the most abundant component of Sample 1were cis-β-ocimene (20.1%), menthol (11.27%)...

: Semen descurainiae oil (SDO) is an important traditional Chinese medicine that was recently discovered to have the function of reducing blood lipids. Metabolomics analyses of plasma, liver and kidney in rats were performed using 1 H-NMR and LC-MS to illuminate the lower blood lipid concentration effect of SDO, and niacin was considered as the active control. The measure of total cholesterol (TC) and low-density-lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in plasma showed that SDO treatment decreased signi...
