Nitrogen and sulfur codoped carbon-based dots (N,S-CDs) with strong blue light emission are encapsulated into red light-emitting europium metal–organic frameworks (Eu-MOFs) to form two color light-emitting nanohybrids (Eu-MOFs/N,S-CDs).
