Abstract
Autoimmune pancreatitis is a unique form of chronic pancreatitis characterized by irregular narrowing of the pancreatic duct, pancreatic swelling, and a favorable response to corticosteroids, in which the autoimmune mechanism is postulated in the pathogenesis.
