Abstract
Duane retraction syndrome is a congenital incomitant strabismus caused by dysinnervation of the medial and lateral rectus muscles. Patients with unilateral Duane syndrome (80-90% of cases) who exhibit a fixation preference tend to prefer the unaffected eye.
