Abstract
These studies were conducted to evaluate the feasibility of percutaneous left atrial appendage (LAA) occlusion using the PLAATO system (ev3 Inc., Plymouth, Minnesota).Patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) have a five-fold increased risk for stroke.
