Abstract
The present study reveals the pharmacological effect of chlorogenic acid, a major phenolic compound in plants, food, and coffee, on diabetic cataracts. Chlorogenic acid examined the inhibitory effects upon rat lens aldose reductase (AR) activity and xylose-induced rat lens opacity.
