Abstract
In a hospital population of 1356 children 64 (4.7%) cases of anisometropia (at least 2 diopters in spherical or cylindrical power) were found. After the exclusion of all children with ocular lesions 53 remained. Twenty-seven (42%) of them had strabismus, which seemed to be related to accommodation effort rather than amount of anisometropia.
