The total incoherent scattering cross sections for low-Z elements
Abstract
The total incoherent scattering cross sections are calculated using relativistic and nonrelativistic incoherent scattering functions for the energy range 1–10,000 keV for low- Z null elements (C, O, Ne, S, Ar). The calculated cross sections are compared with tabulated theoretical values and found to be smaller than the tabulated theoretical values with a ratio of 1.86–90.46% in relativistic formalism and 1.82–7.27% in nonrelativistic formalism....
