Abstract
A 54-year-old man presented with pharyngeal damage and a complete esophageal obstruction 6 months after lye ingestion. He was dependent on gastrostomy feeding and had to continuously collect his oral secretions. Caustic injuries to the pharynx and esophagus are complex to manage.
