Abstract
The tribal status of Phlugidini Eichler, 1938, is confirmed. A new definition of the tribe is suggested and the taxonomic relationships among genera related to the tribe are discussed. Two new genera, nine new species and one new combination are described from East Africa, New Guinea, Northern Australia, Sulawesi and Borneo.
