Abstract
• Two hundred fifty consecutive patients with carotid transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) and no previous stroke were assessed with cerebral angiography (95%), two-dimensional echocardiography (86%), electrocardiography (100%), and Holter monitoring (99 selected patients).
