Abstract
Cellulose fibres and cellulose nanocrystals were extracted from rice husk. Fibres were obtained by submitting the industrial rice crop to alkali (NaOH) and bleaching treatments. Nanocrystals were extracted from these fibres using sulphuric acid (H2SO4) hydrolysis treatment.
