Abstract
Typhoid fever may be associated with ulceration of the intestinal tract in the terminal ileum, cecum, and ascending colon. The distribution of ulcers parallels the anatomical location of intestinal Peyer's patches which undergo hyperplasia and ulcerate as part of the typhoid syndrome.
