Abstract
In this paper we present a new method termed Truncated Hierarchical Catmull–Clark Subdivision (THCCS), which generalizes truncated hierarchical B-splines to control grids of arbitrary topology. THCCS basis functions satisfy partition of unity, are linearly independent, and are locally refinable.
