Abstract
This paper reports results on the sintering behaviour of hydroxyapatite (HAP) for various compositions and its resultant flexural strength. The HAP decomposition occurs at higher temperatures for sintered compacts than for powder and their OH stoichiometry depends on the porosity-closing temperature.
