Abstract
The energy release rate in delamination of angle-ply laminated double cantilever composite beam specimens was calculated using the compliance equation, and interlaminar cohesive strengths were obtained. Instead of the traditional approach of a beam on an elastic foundation, a second-order shear-thickness deformation beam theory (SSTDBT) was considered.
