Fifty one patients with abnormalities of horizontal gaze were studied with magnetic imaging of the brain (MRI) and eye movement recordings to identify the loci of lesions responsible for isolated abducens palsy, conjugate gaze palsy and different types of internuclear ophthalmoplegias.
